TPS65381A-Q1: HALcogen or other software driver resource for MCU interface.

I am using an RM48 MCU with a TPS65381A power supply in a current design. Does HALcogen or some other TI resource provide a software driver for this interface? In particular I'm looking for some code to drive the Q&A watchdog interface, but any support would be helpful.

    Hi Allen,

    The TMS570/Hercules MCU team provides drivers for the TPS65381x-Q1 as part of their support, if you have further questions on the drivers themselves the best place to post is on the RM48 Hercules forum.

    The TPS65381A-Q1 and TPS65381-Q1 are functionally equivalent so the TPS65381-Q1 drivers work with the TPS65381A-Q1 device. The drivers are part of the SafeTI Diagnostic Library (SDL) which is available at the following link for free: www.ti.com/.../safeti_diag_lib

    There is also a CSP (compliance support package) for the SDL available there as well but it isn't free.

    Thanks for the quick response. I was fairly sure I had seen this information when I did my initial researcher into the product line but could not find it later. It might be good if TI added a link on the power supply web pages, under the "Tools and Software" tab that would point back to this information on the Hercules web pages.

    Of course this post might help other lost engineers find this information as well.
