Hello,
I am developing a battery-based product and require a gauge. The battery will be small, with a capacity of around 200mAh, as will the average power (between 50 and 100uA). This average current consists of a 30uA constant current, with short (1-10ms) spikes of up to 10mA.
I've noticed the bq27426 does not correctly track the state of charge of the battery under these conditions (I'm assuming because the current is too small to be registered). Will increasing the sense resistor (to say, 100mOhm), and multiplying the design capacity by the same factor work? How much scaling will I need to do for the gauge to remain accurate?
Thanks
