TPS62150: tps62150 an inverting power output

HI:

I Want to use Tps62150 for an inverting power output.
input: 3.3V
Output:-5V 0.8A
the package size should be small.
Does it is the right choice for this case? what should i pay more attention when disigns.
if not, can you give me some advise?

Hi User,

Here is a reference design for very close to what you need, using the module version of this device: www.ti.com/.../tida-01457 You can use the same approach with the discrete TPS62130/5/6 to increase the output current to your 0.8A need.

Note that you need (much) more than a 1A device to deliver this power in the inverting configuration.

Yes, this would be the simplest way to achieve your requirements, but the design I sent is not rated for 0.8A of output current at your Vin/Vout. I recommend using the discrete and higher current TPS62135/6 to achieve 0.8A. You can use the same basic design as the ref design.
