do we need two inseries 100 Ohms resistors on i2c instead of one?
Can we combine one resistor of 200Ohms or use just one?

100Ohms resistor.

Hi Rahul,
You neeed an 5.6V zener diode inbetween the 100ohm resistors as shown in the evm reference schematic.

Those are there for ESD protection.

Thanks Onyx.
But we do not need ESD protection on our board as we have a small trace routed there between BQ27200 and Microcontroller.
Can we eliminate one of the two 100Ohms resistors?

If you do not need esd protection, then yes you can eliminate one or both resistors. Those were there as current limiters
