BQ25120A: Is there no 2.5 V version?

With the BQ2512x there was a BQ25121 that defaulted to 2.5 V. With the BQ25120A, there seems to only be a 1.8 V version. Will there be any other version with a different default system voltage? I need a version that is at least 2.3 V.

Hi,

i have the same Problem. I want to use BQ25120A together with CC2540. CC2540 needs minimum 2.0V.

Is there a way to modify the feedback to BQ25120A by inserting a resistor or add a voltage divider?
(is it possible to show us the internal structure of the feedback-circuit?)

Hello,
You can use the 1.8V to power up your MCU and change the output voltage using I2C to 2.5V.

Thanks for the reply Raheem. I'm not sure if my MCU will boot at 1.8 V, it's only rated down to 2.3 V.

Hello Raheem,

the datasheet of CC2540 says, that the recomended operating conditions for the supply voltage are 2,0V to 3,6V.
I am developing a device for mass-production (> 100.000 pcs) so i cannot design a device in, which is used outside its recomended operating conditions.
Is it possible to show us the internal structure of the feedback-circuit so i can figure out myself if it's possible to add a resistor or voltage divider on the "SYS"-pin?

Hello,
You can use the BQ25120A with TPS62740 which is a low IQ (360nA) buck with variable voltage output. You can connect PMID to the input of the buck. The VSYS can be used to power other devices.

i have no space available for further devices like another buck regulator.
Please answer my question if it's possible to show us the internal structure of the feedback-circuit so i can figure out myself if it's possible to add a resistor or voltage divider on the "SYS"-pin!
Or if there will be a 2,5V version in the future.

I also need a BQ25121 equivalent BQ25121A (2.5V sys out). Is this coming or is TI dropping the BQ25121x altogether from the product line?
