Part Number: BQ78PL116
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQWIZARD,

Hello everyone:

I have a normal and a demaged pack with bq78pl116 ic.they both are same ones and I have replaced an new bq78pl116 ic for the demaged one already. And I have test the repaired one connected with bqwizard file.and it was ok to communicate with bqwizard.I want to configurate the repaired one to be same to the normal one,as clone.Do you have some good idea to help me to make the pack with new ic normal work as the normal one?

I am the after-sale techonicain.and I just want to find a way to clone the function to the repaired one.Thank you in advance.

  Best regards.

  • Hi Shaw,

Take a good functional unit and extract a .tmap file and then load it on your device. see user guide below for instructions on how to extract and load the files.

    thanks

  • Hello Onlyx:

Thanks for you replay in advance.and I have read such a file about the EVM.and I found that the file of .tmap only included a part of information about configuration. And I thought I should operated "File->Pack configuration(.dat,.tmap,.aux,.sbd)->Save Pack configuration(only)"to get the .dat file from the normal battery pack and then download such a .dat file into the new bq78pl116 ic which I have replaced on the EVM.right?
    Best regards.

  • Hello Onyx:

I exported the .dat file from the normal Pack and download such a file in to the new bq78pl116.I charged the battery and discharge it for several cycles.I can find that the pump worked during such a procedure. But today, when I charge it again,I found the Pump was always "None",there were some 4.0V cells and at the same time there were some 3.6V cells in the same Pack. But I can not find the pump worked even they were different voltage between cells. And I even found there was a bettery was COV situation. How can I make the pump work as normal again?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Best regards.

  • Hi Shaw,
Can you make sure your cells are all at the same voltage when testing your board.
    thanks

  • Hello Onyx:

Thanks for you replay. And I replaced an new bq78pl116 ic for a board. And then I connected such board to a dummy load which was based on the description on the EVM user's guide file. And at the same time I downloaded the .tmap file in such a new bq78pl116 and calibrated its temperature. And then I downloaded .dat file into such a ic.After I recharged several times.I found such a problem. How can I test the board while the cells are the same voltage?Would you like to help me to show such a procedure?

Thank you very much in advance,Onyx.

      Besr regards.
