TPS63700: Iout and Duty

Hi,

Could you give me advice.

Can I use TPS 63700 under the following conditions of use?

Vin 3.3 V
Vout -3.4 V
Iout 200 mA

Please tell us from the viewpoint of current value and duty.
I do not have a description of the efficiency curve that is close to the input / output condition and there is no formula for calculating Duty, so I want to check it.

Hi Sakai-san,

Yes, TPS63700 is an inverting buck-boost converter that can operate under your Vin, Vout, and Iout.

But it is an older and larger device. I would rather recommend the much smaller TPS82130 module, in a design like these:

At 3.3Vin and -3.3Vout and 200 mA, it gives around 83% efficiency.

Thank you for your reply.

In the customer's circuit, TPS 62160 constitutes an inverting circuit, and the efficiency at that time was about 77%.
This time the customer is thinking about replacing parts for efficiency improvement. Is there any information that can judge that efficiency improvement can be expected if TPS82130 is used under the above conditions?
