TLV702: Question for TLV70233 MOSFET Current Rating

Hi Experts,

As we know there is a P-MOSFET inside TLV70233, our customer want's to know what's the Id(pulse) specification for this P-MOSFET as like other standard MOSFETs.

An example is as below, can you help to check it?

Hi Jacky,

In the LDO, usually we don't specify the characteristics of a particular MOSFET. May I know what's your concern on the pulsed Id?

Hi Jason,

Why customer is asking about this is that they have some large capacitors on the output, and during the startup they will see up to 1A current in a short time(see attached waveform), they want to know if it will damage our device or not.

Hi Jacky,

Thanks for providing the details. According to the electro-migration guideline, a peak current of 6X the rated current should be OK.

Customer wants to know what's the duration time you mean a peak current of 6X the rated current? Can you help to provide?

I don't think they specified the duration of the pulse, let me do some research to see if I can get you the answer.
