Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM73605
I've got a 7V 2.5A PSU design on one PCB that is used to power another PCB in the same unit.
The problem is that the PSU will not start-up as the other board is a high capacitive load - the other board has a 16V 2200uF input capacitor on it. This board can not be changed.
I've tested start up of the supply with a resistor load box up to 2.5A and it starts up perfectly, it just seems to be the capacitive load that is upsetting it.
Here is the schematic: (The snubber network is not fitted)
PCB layout:
Is there anything that can be done to slow down the start-up or make the part happy about the capacitive load?
Thanks,
Graham
