Compiler/BQ76930EVM: BQ76930EVM

Part Number: BQ76930EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ76930

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am Alvaro Gaztelu. Several days ago, we purchased a protoboard of TI and we are having many problems with this proto.

I send us an image with the problem:

As you can see in the image we are having a problem with the first and the second battery. The BQ76930 chip doesn´t run well.

  • Hi Alvaro,
    It would appear that VC1 is not connected or shorted to GND.
    If using the resistive divider on the EVM be sure the switch for "C1" is closed. Without power be sure that C1 has 200 ohm to GND. Check for contamination shorting the pin low.
    If using external voltage connection such as cells, be sure the wire is connected for "C1" net and that there is no contamination on the screw or terminal block pin.
    Either way you could confirm the voltage at the on-board test points for VC0, VC1, VC2.
