Dear all,

Could you teach how to select the BOOT diode specifications?

I would like to know about IF and VR, especially.

At EVM board, you add the diode with 100V/0.2A. Should we need this large value?

And I am thinking to use the diode for small signal use (IF=0.1~0.2A). Is this OK?

    Hello Takao,

    0.1A to 0.2A is fine for a current rating, but the voltage rating depends on the maximum input voltage. The diode VR needs to be higher than the maximum input voltage as that is what it will see when the switch is on. So if your maximum input is 12V then you would need a 20V diode. The EVM is designed to run up to 65V maximum input so a 100V diode was chosen.
