TPS62510: Storing TPS62510 at high temps

Part Number: TPS62510

What is the definition of the storage temperature of this device?

Is this the temp the parts should be kept within while still in the original packaging from TI?

Or is this the temp the parts should be kept within after they have been soldered on a PCB?

If parts experience high temp. while in storage, say 130C for 24hours, would that degrade the life of the parts? Or is the life of the part only influenced by operating it at high temperature?

Thank you!

Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

Storage generally means when the devices are still on the tape and reel. For TPS62510, the abs max junction temp and storage temp are both 150 C, so I don't see an issue.

However, this is an old and big device. There is likely a better one to use. If this is an option, please share your Vin, Vout, and Iout needed.
