Hello team,
One of my customers would like to reprogram LP8860-Q1 EEPROM in their factory because they don't want to manage so many device versions. (LP8860A-Q1, LP8860D-Q1....). Currently, customer use LP8860A-Q1 in old projects, now they'd like to have a standalone version like LP8860D-Q1.
- Could you help suggest which solution to use for reprogramming EEPROM? on separate IC deck or assembled PCB?
- If the customer prefers to reprogram on assembled PCB, since Vdd of LP8860D is 5V while LP8860A is 3.3V, is that ok to have LP8860A work with 5V Vdd?
- The general procedure of changing EEPROM parameters are listed as below:
- Power up device: VDD -- VDDIO/EN
- Disable PWM outputs and PLL
- Read EEPROM
- Unlock EEPROM.
- Change parameter.
- Burn EEPROM.
- Toggle VDDIO/EN
For Q3 reprogram procedure, are they correct? Could you help provide the detail I2C commands example?
4. Anything else do we need to take care when reprograming the EEPROM of LP8860A-Q1?
Thanks.
Best,
Dongbao
