TPS2660: Could you tell me about "Can TPS26602 do setting at 30V by external resistor"?

Hi, team.

My customers are considering using TPS26602 to achieve the following behavior.

So, please let me know because there was a question from the customer.

①I know TPS26602's Clamp Voltage is 38V(internal Fixed), but can it do the clamp voltage setting at 30V by external resistor?

②What kind of risks can be considered if setting "①" is done?

(It is OK with guess.)

Hi Masumi,

Yes, we are working on a solution where the output clamp is adjustable.
But the solution is not verified completely.

What is the timeline you are looking for this requirement?

Hi Masumi,

For 30V over voltage clamp, connect a 260k resistor from dVdT pin to RTN pin.
This sets the OVC to 30C with accuracy of 20% across temperature.

Let us know if the accuracy is acceptable, otherwise we have other method with more accuracy.
