TPS65132: TPS65132B0 current limit for short time

Part Number: TPS65132

Hi TI members

My customer use three different vendor's panels and use TPS65132B0. And for now one vendor's panel sometimes can't turn on and if they change current limit from 40mA to 80mA, it can work.

My customer's question is that they want to know the peak current limit ( like cycle-by-cycle) if set the current limit to 40mA?

Because they measure the OK panel peak current is 70mA and the panel can always turn on (current limit set is 40mA), so I can't told they the chip current limit peak is 40mA.

Please help me find a way to explain the peak current.

Thank you so much
