Hi,
We got a question from the customer about LMR14030-Q1.
Could you help us?
[Question]
Does the IC have the ESD protection diode in Vin to GND? If it is included in the IC, could you provide the Vf-If characteristic?
Best Regards,

Hi, Thank you for your reply. But we can't see your attached figure. Could you attach again?

Hi, Sorry for rush, but could you give us your feedback by this end of week? I would appreciate it if you give us your feedback.

Hi, Sorry for delayed reply. Their board has the reverse protection circuit. Please refer to below figure. When reverse voltage is occurred, the current flows through the reverse protection diode, then Fuse 1 will blow. *(1)
But if the Vf of internal ESD protection diode is lower than external diode, the current flows through the IC, then Fuse 2 will be blow. *(2)
They want to avoid this phenomenon. We understood there is no characteristics. But if you could provide the typical value of Vf, that will really help us.
Best Regards,
tateo
Hi Tateo-san,
I check this with ESD engineer, the ESD diode VF is similar to MOSFET body diode, VF normally 0.7V at room temp, so external reverse protection diode should be a low Vf diode.
