TPS63020: TPS63020 working in a unexpected way

Hello to everyone. This time I've been trying to validate a circuit using TPS63020. I'm having the following issues:

- VOUT = 7V, for any value of VIN.

- FB = 1V

- Whenever I measure FB voltage using a oscilloscope, it does a ringing noise in contact with the probe.

I'm using the schematic found at the TPS63020 datasheet, page 12, and followed the layout guideline as best as possible.

Someone already had those issues? What I'm doing wrong?

Hi,

This is not expected behaviour. It looks like either there is a short in the Feedback or the device got damaged.
Did you replace the IC and test it again?
Could you share the schematic and the layout?

Hello Sabrina,

You're right, the IC got damaged. After testing the circuit, I found a short between GND and L2 pin.

I'm going to start over. If I find more issues, I will update.
