BQ27421-G1: What is the difference between the BQ27421-G1 and the BQ27441-G1?

I was wondering what the essential difference between BQ27421-G1 and BQ27441-G1 is?

I can spot differences in package size and minimum battery capacity (which I believe are not decisive). The only difference that seems crucial is that the BQ27421-G1 has an integrated sense register while the BQ27441-G1 has not. What consequences has this difference for the functionality?

Hi Sebastian,

The hardcoded chem id for the 27421 has one differnt from the bq27441. The bq27421 has the 3142 chem id which the 441 doesn't. Also the bq27441 has OTP (one time programmable ) memory that you can program your Otfs file containing your configuration so yo do not have to program the devicew with your settings each time the iC looses power
