TPS2375EVM: Output of EVM

Hi Support,

Please advise whether the output of the EVM is AC or DC and what the voltage is.

The user guide only mentioned 48V supply.

Want to know if this 48V will change if the PSE side changes.

Please confirm.

    Hi Ikon,

    This EVM features just the PD without a converter, so it is passing 42-57VDC (48VDC, nominally) from the Ethernet input to the output (VDD & RTN) during operation. The PSE will generally transmit power closer to 50-57VDC to reduce the amount of current through the cable (reducing losses). This PSE voltage will generally depend on the manufacturer.

    During operation, the PSE voltage will change based on load conditions, load transients, and user configuration.
