TPS62110: About recommended effective capacity of the output capacitor.

Hi Team,

I understand that “For an output voltage greater than 5 V, an output capacitor of 33 μF minimum is required for stability”.

However, we would like to know the recommended effective capacity of the output capacitor.

Could you please let us know if you have any information?

Hi Kanemaru-san,

Based on the recommended 22uF part number, we allow very little DC bias loss. So, I would require > 30 uF effective C. Today, it is probably more normal to use a 47uF or 2x 22uF cap here.

This is a very old device. Why are you doing a new design with it?
