BQ25898D: BQ25898D as a slave charger and VBUS= 12V

Hi TI member

My customer use BQ25896 as master charger and BQ25898D as slave charger and BQ25898D D+/D- pins floating not connect.

For now the VBUS voltage changed by BQ25896 to 12V, but BQ25898D have no charge current and CHRG_STAT=00(Not charging)

I want to ask is that if the reg setting is default & VBUS=12V, can BQ25898D charge ? Or I need to modify the reg like 0x01 EN_12V & 0x02 disable AUTO_DPDM_EN reg?

    Hi Bruce,

    Please consider bq25898C, which is the slave charger version of bq25898. Regardless, the registers indicate that the 898D charger is JEITA warm and the battery voltage is above the JEITA warm reduced battery regulation voltage of ~4.1V. How is TS connected on the 898D?
