TPS2H160-Q1: TPS2H160-Q1 Typical Application Circuit and Reverse Current Protection Method.2

Part Number: TPS2H160-Q1

Dear Power Switch team.

1. Just we used VS, IN1,2 , Out1, Out2, GND pin as a blow picture,

How should I handle the another pin? example) DIAG_EN, SEL, FAULT, CS, CL, THER

    is It open? Correct?

2. I should be using for Reverse current external protection method.2

But, we can't use Resister as a blow,

Can We use without resister? And Do we have a solution on method.2?

Best Regards

Gerald

  • Hello Gerald,

Answer for question 1- DIAG_EN, SEL and THER are logic input pins and have pull down resistors. They can be left open but it is better to ground them if not used. FAULT and CS are output pins and can be left open if not used. CL is current limit and can not be left open. If CL is shorted to GND, the internal current limit is up to 15A. CL has to have a pull down resistor for lower current limit.

Answer for question 2- TI recommendation is for all protections including supply disconnect. Removing the resistor may limit the protections.
