Hi

My Customer has question.

The Customer wants to conduct AC analysis simulation.

The customer needs to attach a large Cout with the load demand, and customer want to check the simulation.

However, in WEB there is only a transient analysis model.

Is there a model for AC analysis?

    Hi T Kishi,

    What do you mean by AC analysis? The transient models will cover the AC performance of the LDOs including transient response, PSRR, noise, startup and shutdown.

    The customer says "AC Analysis" is a simulation like an attached file.

    Is there a model that can confirm this with the above Device?

    As far as I know the TINA/Pspice models are behavioral, and limited in their performance. Gain/Phase is generally not supported in the free models.

    To confirm I would suggest that you submit your request directly to the WEBENCH Design Center > Simulation Models Forum

    Hi T Kishi,

    As mentions, we do not generally support Gain/Phase models in LDO models. This is primarily due to the complexity of attempting to model Gain/Phase without limiting a customer to a specific output capacitor. We recommend customers to use a prototype board and/or an EVM so that they can perform transient tests with their intended output capacitor(s). By performing worst case transients for their application and observing the response, the customer will have a far better understanding of the LDOs performance and stability in their specific application.
