In our battery application it is a requirement that there be 2 series diodes between the charger output and the battery cell terminal. This would require that the OUT pin of the bq25071 be connected to two series diodes and the BAT pin connected to the battery cell terminal.
This should provide the correct cell voltage feedback to the charger IC. My question is will the charger IC generate the appropriate voltage and current to properly charge the battery cell under this configuration?
