BQ78350-R1: GPC Report Confirmation

Part Number: BQ78350-R1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, , BQ4050

Hello,

I'm confused about the Report of the GPC tool, because the value of VOC75/50/25 seems pack-based voltage and I thought the values must be cell-based.

Could anybody please have a look at the results and give a feedback.

Thanks in advance.GPC_DMT-report.zip

  • Hi pebl97,

The values in the OCV11 file are for debug purposes.

With your gauge, please input the following using bqStudio:

    EMF 3399
    EDVC0 119
    EDVC1 0
    EDVR1 6693
    EDVR0 95
    EDVT0 2799
    EDVTC 9
    VOC75 19725
    VOC50 19065
    VOC25 18770

Please note: CEDV parameters resulting from the fit. If EDVV bit is set to 1, EMF and EDVR0 have to be multiplied by the number of serial cells when written to data flash

If the above resolves your issue, please click on the "This Resolved my Issue" button so the response may help others with a similar question.

  • Hi Bryan,

    thanks for your support.

I can't find a register for VOC25/50/75 for the bq78350-R1 in the bqStudio.
Are these coefficients only for other gauges?
  • Hi Pebl97,

    You're absolutely correct.

VOC75, VOC50 and VOC25 are used in parts such as the bq4050.

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
