TPS2375: PoE isolation capacitor safety rating

Hi,

Traditionally PoE safety cap has not been mandatorial a safety rated capacitor as long as it has been rated to stand the 1500RMS/2250VDC.

Now that there is a new safety standard IEC62368 replacing IEC60950, is this changing the requirement?

Hi,

The TNV-3 category from the IEC 60950-1 standard should translate to the ES2 category for the IEC62368-1 standard. The capacitor well exceeds the 1.5kV overvoltage requirement present in both.
