BQ24195: If I charger a battery(<2V), The pre-charger current still will keep at 100mA

Part Number: BQ24195

 I have a question for BQ24195.

When Vbat=0.9v and set the charging current is 100ma, could you let me know the charge current's tolernace,.

Base on spec, shall i understand the charge current range is 75-150ma. Is it right?  The temperature is 25 degree centigrade.

  • Hello Wentao,

When VBAT is less than 2.2V, the charger applies ISHORT instead of the pre-charge current; this is also known as trickle current. ISHORT is a separate parameter from the precharge current having a typical value of 100mA. While the datasheet only specifies the typical value, from experimental data, the variation on this parameter is approximately +/-30mA.

    Hope this helps.
