PMP20634: Not able to find Transformer 750316686

Part Number: PMP20634

I want to power Arduino using PMP20634, working on PCB using CircuitMaker, Unable to find Transformer -750316686  mentioned in design, is there any alternative for 750316686 for PMP20634?

Also wondering if there any simplest power supply design that can be used for Arduino? Please guide, would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

  • Hi Dharmesh,

This is a custom transformer so you would have to reach out to Wurth Elektronik at midcom@we-online.com and request a sample for the part number 750316686 from reference design PMP20634.

Another simpler option is to buy a wall adapter that provides the 12V/12W output you are looking for. Here is a link for one on digi-key. If you decide to go with this route, be sure that the barrel connector mates with the jack you plan to use.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • Hello Chris,
Thank you so much! Well I am planing to add 20634 to in PCB with AC Power connector (may be with screws) -Please let me know if that is good idea or not. I am typically a s/w engineer with electronics background and trying to develop proto (s/w is ready), wondering if you could help further with it.
    Highly appreciate your help

    Thanks,
    Dharmesh
  • Hi Dharmesh,

The PMP20634 is an isolated, high-voltage input supply. It is non-trivial, even with an EE background. I would advise against putting it on the same board as your arduino, as this raises safety concerns. A better approach would be to buy a concealed adapter similar to the one previously mentioned that encases the high-voltage supply to prevent damage to circuitry and provides a lower voltage output through the barrel connector.

    Thanks,

    Chris
