TPS650250: Is the current value(1.6A) of DCDC2 test condition correct?

Hello guys,

One of my customers is cinsidering using TPS650250. They have a question about the test current value of DCDC2 in the device datasheet(SLVS843A).

We can see the test current value is 1.6A in "7.8 Electrical Characteristics VDCDC2" table on page 9. They think DCDC2 output current capablity is 0.8A.

So they think it must be incorrect.

Could you tell me whether "1.6A" in test condition is incorrect or not? Also please tell me what the correct current value is?

The maximum output current at L2, VDCDC2, in Table 7.3 Recommended Operating Conditions on page 5 is 800mA

This is consistent with all diagrams shown in the TPS650250 datasheet.

I agree that the Test Condition for output voltage tolerance showing "0mA < IO < 1.6A" in Table 7.8 on page 9 is a typo.

The tolerance values, output voltage (1.8V or 2.5V), and input voltages listed appear to be accurate for DCDC2.
