SG3524: SG3524

Part Number: SG3524

Good morning,

I am an engineering and was looking for a missing information in the datasheet of the chip SG 3524. I need to know the current/power comsumption of the chip as well as the current peak that each of the BJT transistors can handle.

  • Hi Angello,

Thanks for your interest in SG3524. The total current consumption of the device should be less than 10mA. This assumes there is no external loading on the REF pin. The device contains anti-saturation circuitry which will limit the current through each BJT to 100mA. In a typical application, these BJT's are used to drive external switching components.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Angello,

The saturation voltage is rated at a collector current of 50mA the absolute maximum is 100mA, so I think it would be best to use a value of 80mA peak to allow for some margin from 100mA.

The standby bias current consumption of the device is 10mA maximum. The test condition has COMP connection to GND so the device is not switching, once the device starts switching the bias current will increase depending on the load on the outputs.

    Regards

    Peter
