BQ28Z610: EV2300 firmware update - Gauge not able to execute

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Hi

I've recently purchased a EV2300 to work with a bq28z610 gas gauge.

I run through the forums and overcome the hurdles of the setup to finally be able to connect the EV2300 to the gauge on my Win7- 64bits machine. Somewhat it is not really stable.

I've been doing the configuration and calibration steps fine. I got the gas gauge working properly by simulating overcharge and overdischarge using a power supply.

I recorded the srec successfully for it to be applied on other boards.

For the sake of the test I reprogrammed the board with its own SREC. Since then, it seems the device is bricked.

I have BTP_INT, XDIS and XCHG flags ON all the time thus preventing the gauge to work. No safety status set. Going through the forum again I can read that the firmware version of my EV2300 has some problem both with connection stability (explaining why I experience some troubles) and srec recording.

Would you be able to provide any way (except than buying a second EVM to update the first one) to update the firmware version to 3.1r as mentionned in the forums.

I bought the EV2300 in november. I can't believe firmware is not up to date.

I believe the issue has been raised several time in the forum where people had the same issue.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Regards

Sebastien
