We are developing a multi cell battery management system for Li-ion battery pack for an electric vehicles. We use 3.3V cells and one battery module includes 50 cell series connection. We use ten BQ76PL536 devices to monitor 50 cells. So one device is monitoring 5 cells.
In low SOC conditions, we detected that BQ device gets heat up and attached cells get discharged and become zero voltage. We detected that burnt devices shows low resistance between cell voltage measurement pins.
