TPS40170: TPS40170 enable pin source current 300nA in datasheet.

Part Number: TPS40170

Hi Sir,

AS I know, the Enable Pin is input pin to TPS40170, so this is sink current.

Why TI datasheet is show the source current and max is 300nA?

The TI EVM is used 64.9k and 10k on Enable Pin, How to Calculate resistance value with  source current 300nA?

Hugo

  • The Enable thresholds are rather loose per EC table. It only has a minimum higher level and a max low level. If you want to program the start/stop Vin, I'd recommend using the UVLO pin, since the thresholds of UVLO pin are pretty tightly specified in the EC table. There's a defined hysteresis as well.

For the calculation with sourced current, it should satisfy
    (VIN - VEN)/REN-top = Isource + VEN/REN-bottom
