BQ25890H: Any way to disable part

Part Number: BQ25890H

I was looking for a way to disable the regulator on this part.  If I set ILIM very high, say 100k.  Would that work?  Effectively making my current draw very low.  That's my only goal I don't care if it's on I just want to limit current at startup.

**Edit

I found this line in the datasheet ". If ILIM pin is open, the input current is limited to zero since ILIM voltage floats above 0.8 V. If ILIM pin is short, the input current limit is set by the register."

Can I still communicate with the part of I2C when ILIM = 0?

Thank you
