bq24610: Recommendation charger for 2.7V lithium ion battery

Hello,

I am looking for suggestions to build a charger for a 2.7V lithium ion battery.

This are my specifications.

1 Charger for 1 cell 2.7V lithium ion battery

2 Charge current 240mA or 480mA

3 Stand-Alone Charger

4 Prefer with 5V, 500mA input (USB)

5 Prefer with termination current: 1.2mA

6 Prefer with safety timer

It seems the BQ24610, BQ24105, BQ24115, BQ24125 can adjust the battery voltage down to 2.7V,

but I am not sure whether those ICs are suitable or not.

Any suggestion or recommend suitable device is appreciated.

Do you have the battery spec? It is very rare that the charge voltage for Li-ion battery to be 2.7V.
All the chargers you mentioned is mainly designed for multi-cell batteries. You can use FB pin to configure the charge voltage to 2.7V.

The battery is a new energy device from Murata Manufacturing.
Please find the attach pdf for the battery spec.

I think those chargers are originally designed for 4.2V Li-ion battery,
therefore after configure the charge voltage to 2.7V,
I am not sure whether those ICs will working or not.
Could you please advise it?

It can, but would be inefficient.

What is the output voltage of your input source? If you are working with energy harvesting, you can take a look at 25505 or bq25570 which is more of a boost charger with adjustable output voltage.

The input source is from USB, 5V, 500mA.
And I am not working with energy harvesting.
Therefore, are there any other suitable ICs?
