UCD9090A: I/O specification

Genius 17295 points
Part Number: UCD9090A

Hello,

I want to confirm I/O specification of UCD9090A

VIH is defined as “2.1 – 3.6V with V33DIO = 3V” in the datasheet(See the below).

Usually max I/O input voltage is defined as a kind of VDD+0.3V in digital device.

Does this device really support up to 3.6V input with V_33DIO=3V?

Also this device doesn’t have V_33DIO pin. Is it V33D?

On the other hand, in Max absolute column in the datasheet, max input voltage is V33A+0.3V.

How to think about it? Isn't it related to V33D?

The background of the question is that a system could have input over VDD+0.3V a little and I want to confirm whether it is OK or not.

Regards,

Oba

  • Normally, V33A/V33D and V33DIO are from the same power supply. The V33DIO is digial I/O supply, it is the same as V33D if it is not available.
The Max absolute for the other pin is -0.3 to 3.8V.
