BQ76PL455A: bq76pl455a's accuracy of internal temperature sensor

My customer's battery manage system uses bq76pl455a,Customer want to know about the accuracy of internal temperature sensor:

1、The maximum Tint_dd is 54℃。

2、The minimum Tsd is 115℃。

3、If ambient temperature is 65 ℃，and The Tint_dd temperature error just for 54℃ ，Now if BQ76PL455A enter protective state or not?

I understand your concern here! The spec for the digital temperature sensor is really very loose. The good news is, that the thermal shutdown and temperature sensors are separate and independent circuits. The thermal shutdown is true to the spec of 140 C typical shutdown temp

Hi LI,

I would recommend using the analog die temperature sensor to monitor the die temp. The accuracy is not perfect, but much better. Unfortunately, the error on the digital die temperature sensor is really not good enough to use this way, in my opinion.
