BQ24092: question about cell number

Part Number: BQ24092

Hi,

When we look at the battery charge data of other companies that we have as a reference,

The following BQ24092 / single cell li-ion IC is used.

However, the battery in use is 3 cells as shown in the picture.

If I use a single cell charge IC for a 3 cell battery, I would ask if there is any problem or not.

thanks,

TS

  • Hello
The bq2409X charger IC can charge 3 cells in this configuration, the parallel cells are equivalent to one cell.
But the charging voltage is fixed at 4.2V and this type of Li-Ion cell (TLI-1550A) has a recommended charging voltage of 4.1V. Is this a possible problem?
