TPS3851: Is there any problem if Reset is connected with WDI?

Dears:

We are evaluating the TPS3851 to replace MAK6866(Maxim) in the project.

Is there any problem if Reset is connected with WDI?

If RESET is connected with WDI, is the below Power on Sequence I thought OK?

Pls. kindly help to give some advice.

    Luck Wu,

    Yes, you can connect /RESET and /WDO pins. The reason is because:

    1. Both pins are active-low outputs

    2. Both outputs are Open-drain topology

    Since both outputs have same type, you can connect together. This is called "wire ORing the outputs" so that both the undervoltage OR the watchdog input can trigger the output. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
