BQ24040: BQ24040 Operating Junction temperature Question.

Part Number: BQ24040

Dear TI Team.

I would like to know what kind of problem occurs when the operating temperature of BQ24040 is driven at -20 degrees.
Is it simply a symptom of not charging? Or are there other functional issues?
If the symptom is not enough to charge at -20 degrees,
I think it will be possible to use for application.
If there are other problems in function, I can not use it.
Thanks.
  • The recommended operating temp range is 0C to 125C, junction temp. But this is driven by the Li-Ion battery charging temp range of 0C to 60C or less.
Device can be used at lower temp range -20C but charging temp range of the battery should to be reviewed.
