LM5175: Unstable

Part Number: LM5175
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5176

Hi,

We have a unstability problem with the LM5175 device.

Input voltage : 27-29Vdc

Output Voltage : 9 to 43Vdc - 2A

When system goes to BOOST to BUCK mode, the system become unstable in the transition mode. It is very noisy, LDRV1 stays on without any reason...

See below, LDRV1 on transistor drain in yellow, LDRV2 on transistor drain in blue. Pink is CS. Green in unused.

We have this problem on our card, but in the LM5175 demobard as well.

We try to stable the circuit by :

  • Adding input capacitors
  • Changing Slope capacitor values
  • Changing COMP components values

Reading the previous messages, this circuit seems to be hard to get stable.

Schematic can be guive by private mail.

Thanks
