BQ25505: What is the efficiency of the boost DCDC at input currents of 100mA+?

Part Number: BQ25505

Hi dear team,

I'd like to know the efficiency of the boost DCDC at input currents of 100, 150, and 200 mA.

The datasheet shows a declining trend as shown below. This trend is a concern since higher current might apply in a specific application.

Do you have values for the efficiency at higher input currents?

Many thanks for the support and best regards,

Miriam

  • Hi Miriam,

The maximum peak inductor current in discontinuous mode (DCM) is 200mA.  Therefore, the converter's maximum average input current is about 100mA.  That is why there are no efficiency measurements at higher currents.
