TPS63020: Confirm TPS63020 application

Part Number: TPS63020

Dear TI sir :

The figure shows a simplified block diagram of the TPS63020 circuit application.

As I know TPS63020 is Buck-Boost Converter.  A(green word) is input  in the figure.  B(green word) is output  in the figure.

I would like confirm that  "A --> B I know is OK"     , but " B --> A  also OK ?"    due to " <--->

So, dose that mean  B is input,  A is output ???    Please help, Thank you.

  • Hi Terry,

    Both operations are ok. In normal operation current flows from A to B and in reverse operation it flows from B to A. you can find a detail led explanation in section 3.2 and 3.3 of the test report www.ti.com/.../slva726.pdf
    I would like to highlight that the VIN pin of the converter is always on the A side as shown on the Figure 2 of the test report
