BQ77905: OTP Latch function for E-Tool application

Hi, Team,

My customer need the function as OTP Latch off in E-Tools application. Currently, the device BQ77905 is auto recovery.

Do you have any suggestion to realize this function? Do you have any circuit to recommend? Or other device to replace the BQ77905. Thanks a lot!

    Hi Wu,
    The bq77905 is designed as a recoverable part. Depending on how the device is used and other available circuits an external control could be implemented. A MCU could be used to control LD for current or low voltage recovery. OV, OT, and UT are all automatically recovered, so the external circuit would need to recognize there was a fault and disable the FETs using the input. This latch would work for any fault since the part does not report the reason for the fault.
