I am new to power management design and am looking at the initial design of a power management system for our device.
The off-grid version of our device will require solar power with a li-ion battery.
We will also have an on grid version with a battery backup which I guess would require a completely different power management system?
The device is designed with integrated DCDC converters so has an input range of 9V-32V and draws approximately 0.2A @ 12V continuous with a 1A @ 12V peak.
We are going to need to simultaneously charge the battery during the day whilst drawing power for the device and power the device overnight (with no solar power available).
I would very much appreciate some guidance with what ICs I should be looking at and/or some worthwhile resources.
