I'm currently working with some old design laptop batteries where bq20z80 and bq20z90 gas gauges used.

Can you please provide me a link for bqEVSW for that controllers along with default .srec images for them (if not included in software).

Hi Igor,
Typically we only share the older software now with the original pack makers.
OEMs also get access to the software through their pack maker.
We do not directly support 3rd parties for these older devices.
Most likely the easiest way to get access would be to contact the laptop battery maker.
There is a version of bqEVSW at www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware which may work for these devices.
Also, bqStudio (www.ti.com/.../BQSTUDIO) will be able to read the standard SBS commands if you select one of the gauges.
