TPS54618-Q1: about feed buck resistor range

Part Number: TPS54618-Q1

Hi,

Customer wants to reduce the feedback and RT resistor value.
(Because of the disturbance noise measures)
Could you tell me the acceptable recommended value or range?
Currently, customers are considering the following changes.

RH 100k⇒1k

RL 180k⇒1.8k
RT 2k⇒20

Could you give me your advice?

Best Regards,
Yusuke/Japan Disty

  • For FB resistors, I generally use values in the range of 10 k. I think 1 k range is acceptable. I do not think I would really go any lower.
For RT pin resistor if you cbnge the value, you change the operating frequency. You need to use the value specified by EQ 9 in the datasheet. RT is noise sensitive. I suggest you place it as close to pin 8 as possible with short routing to pin 8 and to GND.
