LM74700EVM: Misunderstanding in Evaluation board

Dear All,

When looking at the schematics of LM74700EVM, there are few components DNP (Do not populate) expecially 2 protections diode (D3 D4), and one Mosfet( Q2) , I can no explanation about this. Can somebody could give more information ?

    Hello,

    Q2 is an option to evaluate additional FET. This is an option to evaluate 40V rated FETs

    D3 and D4 are options for a back-to-back TVS diodes.

    For 40V rated FETs, single bidirectional TVS will not work and need have D3 and D4 populated.

    Please refer to the TVS selection section of the datasheet for more information.
