BQ25708: VSYS output when only battery is present

Hello,

   I intend to use BQ25708 for one our designs. However a few details in the datasheet got me confused.

1. Do I need to use a power path switch at the output of the charger to select between VSYS and VBAT ?

2. What is the VSYS output when only battery (4-cells, Li+) is present ? (No adapter is connected)

    Yes. The BATFET is between VSYS and VBAT.

    2. What is the VSYS output when only battery (4-cells, Li+) is present ? (No adapter is connected)

    Vsys=Vbat when only battery is present because BATDRV turns on BATFET.
