WEBENCH® Tools/UCC28632: Question in Designing or finding a substitute Transformer

Dear Support from Texas Instruments,

I have a question referring to Design 4491542/3 UCC28630DR

and I would like to implement the following transformers because I have no clue how to build a transformer myself.

Würth offered me the following Transformers to use 760871135, 750871032, I calculated with the simple transformer equation and given voltages from the webench and with the used ratio provided by würth I get 11,89V Usecundair at a output current of 6.6A.

however I dont know if its correct. can this be validated in Webench or is there another way?

the output voltage is not that critical but should be inbetween 12V till 48V.

Hello Bastiaan,

You can use WEBENCH to get a good idea of what your schematic will look like!

When you input your specifications into WEBENCH and your design comes up, click on the transformer to get further information about it.

Thanks David,

first of all happy new year!

Webench prescribes me how to build a Transformer, I checked the data from Würth with the Webench. The data simply isnt 1+1=2.
second the windings differ, which comesback to my first question.

can I use simple Transformer equations to calculate the substitute for a Transformer?

how can I give in the Würth Transformer?

Thanks, I hope your new year went well!

The datasheet of the UCC28632 has a detailed design procedure with a for a typical application. You can follow the design procedure and use your values in the equations to calculate what kind of a transformer you need. ok Ill have to do the calculations in combination with Webench and check if I can squeeze out the right transformer.
